If the Web Updater window doesn't popup automatically, there are
probably security settings that that are interfering with the
automatic startup or your system is missing some plugins that are
needed to put files on your hard drive. Our Updater uses a technology
called Java Webstart which is in turn launched by Javascript.
- If Javascript is disabled for security reasons, you still
might be able to launch the webstart program by manually clicking on
the following link.
http://www.vas.com/Update.jnlp
- If manual webstart option described in step 1 didn't work, we
need to install the Java plugin. If you have fast Internet access, you
can install Java plugin by going to http://www.java.com and selecting “Java Software
Download” to install the latest Java.
- If you don't have fast Internet access, you can install Java
plugin by running the program \Programs\PACK48\JAVA_DW.EXE on your
DairyComp CDROM
- If you have an older computer running Windows 98, try this
link

- If you have an older computer with the Microsoft Java plugin,
you may be able to download and run the exe version of the update
program http://www.vas.com/Public/Helpdesk.exe (Please note that this version is not capable of
updating your hardlock expiration date!)
- As a last resort, you can chose the manual option where files
can be downloaded manually. Manual
