LOGON Command

LOGON command

The LOGON command is used in multiple cowfile situations to "log on" to another cowfile. The switches for LOGON are the same as those used in starting the program from the DOS command line, so the logon date, new cowfile number, and new cowfile disk can be specified.

For single herd systems, you are prompted for number and drive of the cowfile you wish to access, then "Today's" date.

Multiherd users get a pick list of available cowfiles. The date switches ("*", "#") are not enabled for multiherd. You can dismiss the pick list with [Escape] to get a normal prompt for cowfile number and directory.
