The Axim X51 uses the Windows Mobile Version 5.0 and is slightly different from previous Axims.

 

The installation process adds two new dialogs, one warning that the CowCard.CAB is unsigned and another choosing whether to install the program on SD CAR or the device. Tap Yes for the first dialog, “Device” for the second.

 

                  

 

The Bluetooth configuration is also slightly different, Go to Settings, Connections, Bluetooth, Enable the “Turn on” checkbox in the Mode pane.

 

          

 

Tap New Partnership in the Devices Pane, select the scanner device, tap next, then enter 1234 as a passkey and tap next again.

           

 

Select the Serial Port CheckBox and tap finish, then select the “COM ports” pane, tap “New Outgoing Port” and Select the scanner Device;

            

 

Choose COM7, (no check in secure connection), tap Finish, then close the Bluetooth dialog.

 

 

Now Start the CowCard program, Go to Admin Setup and choose COM7

               

 

 

Now Exit Setup and go to tools Enable RFID, (this will immediately enable RFID scanning without the Bluetooth popup seen on earlier Axims.
